Opinions are like assholes, right? Everyone's got one, unless you're Beldar Conehead. I'm fine with that, even if I disagree. Even if I think your views are skewed, warped, delusional, and poorly articulated, I can still come to grips with the fact that you are entitled to it. What I really can't stand is when debates go off topic, careening into personal dick measuring exhibitions, complete with name calling and outlandish statements that have nothing to do with the subject at hand. Rarely do debates ever finish on topic these days. Maybe it's because people don't have the ability to get their points across. Maybe it's because they haven't researched the issue thoroughly enough to provide eloquent feedback from their perspective. Well, I'm the wrong one to debate if either are those things are the case. I take pride in knowing what I'm talking about, and it's becoming painfully obvious that a lot of people do not share that same sentiment. I find that I waste my time trying to persuade people who just aren't smart, and they have no problem staying that way. Ignorance is truly bliss, so I've decided to just let things be. I have my platforms to speak my mind, and I will exhaust them all. I no longer will indulge people and jump into debates knowing I have vast knowledge on the particular subject and more than likely, they don't. A wise man told me don't argue with fools, because people looking from a distance can't tell who is who. You have your opinion, and I have mine. Let's just leave it at that.
